Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about pain management and looking for an opportunity to work with a small team dedicated to patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in pain management, but we are willing to train an enthusiastic professional with a strong medical background.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to determine pain causes and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Implement physician-directed therapies and manage follow-up care.
- Counsel and educate patients on treatment plans and pain management strategies.
- Assist in various pain management procedures under the supervision of our medical staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current PA or NP license in the state of New York.
- Certification by the NCCPA (for PAs) or ANCC/AANP (for NPs).
- Experience in pain management is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the highest level of patient care and ethics.
